Love this state. The weatherman wasn't kidding when he said the weather was going to change dramatically as the "arctic air" came through. Of course, the words "arctic air" are very telling, and well, down right scary I think! I had JJ last night and when I left my house with him at 1800, it was 29 degrees out. When I left his mommas house at 1230 and got home to my house, it was -2. When I decided I was going to subject my poor puppy to the elements to do his business, it was -20. And windchill factors of -50. It is so freakin' cold, even the dog didn't want to be out. And some where along the way, a piece of siding fell off the house and is laying in the middle of the yard. I hope that it continues to lay there because I aint' going out in the very near future go get it!
So what am I going to do with my day? It's so windy that the satelite won't pick up so, no TV. In fact, I'm surprised that I was able to get onto the internet. After a while I may go to the gym. And there's plenty of household chores to do, that I just don't feel like doing!
Anyway, stay warm out there!
Addendum: So it's now warmed up so it's only -10. However, that wind...it is blowing so hard that it's drifting snow by the neighbors about 5 feet high. Did I happen to mention that this is in the road by my neighbors?, not in their yard? A bit inconvenient for those wishing to travel the road. Fortunately for me, I 'm not one of those people. I did however go and save the piece of siding from the yard, water the cows (who might I add, don't seem cold in the least, with me in workout pants, sweatpants, windpants, long sleeved shirt, sweatshirt, face mask, stocking cap, hood & carharts...only part of me cold were my eyballs and hands...even gloves don't help in this crap!), vacuumed the living room & office, removed the 6 layers of dust & doghair from the front door, sprayed the couches with Febreeze, spoke with my pregnant girlfriend for an hour (and ordered her baby gifts online), paid bills, filed said bills, cleaned the office closet up a bit and well, am now perusing http://thepioneerwoman.com site which I have to admit, I'm stalking. Love this womans sense of humor, her photos (which put mine to shame!) and the fact that she lives on a ranch with TONS of horses! With that being said, I WILL have horses (ok, maybe that will be singular)by the end of summer! Whew. Now I'm ready for a nap!
